Jozef Jankovič (* November 8, 1937, Bratislava - † June 6, 2017, Bratislava) was a Slovak sculptor, pedagogue and organizer of activities of the alternative art scene in the period of socialism, painter and graphic artist.

He studied in Bratislava at the Academy of Fine Arts (1956 - 1962), in the studio of the founder of modern Slovak sculpture - Professor Jozef Kostka. He is the author of many, especially monumental figural reliefs and sculptures in public space. He belongs to the representatives of informal, new figuration, and pop art, by some theorists he is also classified as a postmodern author.

In 1968, Jankovič won a major international exhibition of contemporary art Danuvius - Grand Prix Danuvius in Bratislava. In 1983 he was awarded the Herder Prize in Vienna. As the only Slovak sculptor, he is represented in the EPAD open-air collection of contemporary art, in the state-of-the-art La Defénse district of Paris - the sculpture In the Feet of Fathers.

Jozef Jankovič (* 8. november 1937, Bratislava – † 6. jún 2017, Bratislava) bol slovenský sochár, pedagóg a organizátor aktivít alternatívnej umeleckej scény v období socializmu, maliar a grafik.

Študoval v Bratislave na Vysokej škole výtvarných umení (1956 - 1962), v ateliéri zakladateľa moderného slovenského sochárstva - profesora Jozefa Kostku. Je autorom mnohých najmä monumentálnych figurálnych reliéfov a plastík vo verejnom priestore. Patrí k predstaviteľom informelu, novej figurácie, a pop artu, niektorými teoretikmi je radený aj k postmoderným autorom.

V roku 1968 vyhral Jankovič významnú medzinárodnú prehliadku súčasného umenia Danuvius - Grand prix Danuvius v Bratislave. V roku 1983 mu bola vo Viedni udelená Herderova cena. Ako jediný slovenský sochár je zastúpený v zbierke súčasného umenia E.P.A.D. pod holým nebom, v supermodernej štvrti La Defénse v Paríži - socha V šľapajach otcov.
